MySiteSpace Free Hosting Answers

Completely free? What's the catch?
There's catch really. We do show a small "Free Hosting by MySiteSpace.com" link at the bottom of your site. In addition we do limit you to certain file types, but do support everything needed for a basic web site. And obviously, when you are ready to upgrade your service to a professional plan we hope you will consider ours for just $3.95 per month.

Can I have more than 1 free account?
We allow only 1 free account per user. Users caught abusing this policy will have their sites removed.

Do you share my information with anyone else?
No! We use your information for our internal uses only and do not share it with any third party. We respect your privacy.

Do I have to display the MySiteSpace link on my site?
On the free service Yes you do. On the Pro plan for $3.95 per month there are no ads shown at all on your pages.

Can I run an adult site?
No. We do not allow any sort of pornography sites whatsoever. Sites showing any adult related material will be deleted without warning.

Can I use my Free account for hotlinking and file storage?
No. MySiteSpace free accounts may contain only files that are directly used in your web site on your MySiteSpace Free account. Using your free account to store photos for ebay auctions, avatars for message boards or images for other web sites is a violation of our terms of service and is easily detectable. This will result in removal of your site.

How long will my account remain active ?
There is NO time limit on free accounts. They are yours to use for as long as you need. The only time requirement we place on our free accounts is that you must login at least once every 60 days. Free accounts that have not been logged into in over 60 days are deleted.

Do you show any sort of ads on paid accounts?
No - we do not show any sort of ads whatsoever on Pro accounts. You are in total control of that space.

Can I transfer my domain to you?
Yes you can, and it's quite easy. When you signup, simply indicate that you will be transferring your domain and we'll be sure to include step by step instructions in your welcome email.

How do you bill?
MySiteSpace accepts payment via major credit cards and PayPal.

Can I resell your service?
Sure. Obviously our prices are already set at rock bottom, but you are welcome to resell our services to your customers.

Do the web hosting fees include the cost of my domain name?
No. You are responsible for all fees involving the registering of your domain name. You may register your name anywhere you like. Registering a new domain through MySiteSpace is $13.95 per year.

What if I want the Pro plan but don't want to register a domain name?
No problem. You are not required to have your own domain name with your Pro account. You may have something like myname.msspro.com. You are not required to pay a domain registration fee for this.

What kind of technical support is available?
MySiteSpace offers technical support 24x7 through our online service center and through our Member Forums. MySiteSpace has friendly and knowledgeable technicians available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Most requests submitted through our service center are addressed within an hour or two.

OK I've signed up, now what?
Once you have completed your signup and your payment has been approved we will activate your account. This whole process usually happens within minutes, but can sometimes take up to 4 hours. Once activated you will receive your welcome email with all the info you need to get started. If you have not received your welcome email within 4 hours of signup please contact us at sales@mysitespace.com and we will gladly assist you.
